“Derek Davis & the Revolutionary Souls” band members are veteran world renowned players with many years of recording and touring. The band has its own unique sound, blending Soul/Funk/Reggae/Blues and Rock which dominate their explosive live shows. 

Hailing from the San Francisco Bay Area, the band consist of  Derek Davis – Vocals/Guitar , Kyle Bates – Guitar, Christopher Patton – Keyboards, Kenny Brown – Bass and Mark Viada– Drums.

Derek Davis is a former Vocalist/Front-Man, for Arista Records Recording Artist “Babylon A.D.’ signed by the legendary music mogul Clive Davis, Derek has released 14 records to date including his three solo records ‘Revolt’, ‘Revolutionary Soul’ and his latest release ‘Resonator Blues’. Which produced the #1 iTunes Blues single “Mississippi Mud”. He is the consummate showman and has done extensive tours across the U.S and Europe. 

Kyle Bates has played professionally on the west and east coasts for more than 20 years. A signed artist and session player for many bands throughout the U.S including the MC Hammer label RWI.

Christopher Patton comes from a large family line of musicians tracing his roots all the way back to one of the blues founding father’s, the great Charles Patton. He is an accomplished Piano/Keyboard player and singer, producer and was a former  member of John Lee Hookers band fo nine years, as well as leader of his own super charged ‘Chris Patton Jazz Trio’. 

Bassist, Kenny Brown  has performed and recorded with many S.F. Bay Area solo artists and groups; “Lenny Williams”, “Joyce Cooling”, “Ledisi”, “Bits & Pieces”, “Impulse Band”, and “Bobby Mcferrin’s “Voicistra” to name a few”

Mark Viada, is in high demand as a drummer having multiple styles playing in prog, metal, fusion, funk, rockabilly, latin, soul, reggae  and blues bands. Mark has also played on records for “Outrider”, “Time Circus”, “Blue Diamond Fill-Ups” and “Julie Courtney”.
